respectively) ceased to exist in their current forms - Lehman filed for bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch agreed to be acquired by Bank of America (currently No. 17.)
What does this mean? Going forward, expect to see a further upwards surge in the rankings from Lazard and Deutsche - and to see Bank of America take on Citi-like prestige.
